Another staircase renovation finished. 🪚
I’ve been renovating stairs for quite a few years now, and you can find several of them in my previous posts, but this one feels a little special.
With the price of ready-made trappefornyer rising so much, especially for turned staircases where some steps require very large pieces, I decided it was time to try something different — make my own from solid oak. It’s not dramatically cheaper than ordering a renovation system from stores like Maxbo or Montér, but the result is on a completely different level. Each new step was made individually from solid oak boards, fitted to the existing staircase and finished with Osmo oil. The natural variation and grain of real oak gives the staircase a much warmer and more unique character.
Quite a transformation from where we started. 👌
And a big thanks to the customer for the patience, trust, and for giving me the freedom to try something new. 🙏

Enda en trapp har fått nytt liv! 🪚
