What an incredible weekend celebrating craftsmanship, engineering, and pure passion for all things cycling. Connecting with this community, sharing our story, and diving deep into technical talks made every minute worth it.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by the booth, inspected our lineup, asked the tough engineering questions, and shared their energy with us.

A Modular Platform - Our new E-Bike platform integrates a suite of proprietary ACTOFIVE frame technologies to optimize geometry, kinematics, and structural integration without compromise.

Modular-Pivot-Technology (MPT°)

Features an Interchangeable and modifiable main pivot allows fine-tuning geometry, anti-squat and anti-rise.

No-Yoke-Technology (NYT°)

Features a Structural integration of yoke and pivot axle, where forces are transmitted from axle to chain stays by splined shaft connection saves plenty of room for motor / gearbox systems.

Adjustable-Ride-Technology (ART°)

Features Interchangeable and modifiable ART°-elements, allows to adjust geometry and wheel size configurations.

Inside Our E-Bike R&D. ⚡️

Here’s a look behind the curtain of our modular E-Bike platform development:

Engineering at the Core: At its heart, ACTOFIVE is an engineering firm (METZNER Engineering ). Guided by a passion for riding and technical perfection, we craft high-performance frames using in-house technologies refined over years of continuous development.

6 Months of Engineering and Design: The initial design and engineering phase of this modular platform spanned six months -from early conceptual CAD models to a fully validated system layout.

Finite Element Method (FEM): Through advanced FEM analysis, we simulate stress distributions and dynamic loads across complex frame structures. Factoring in real-world riding variables allows us to optimize strength-to-weight ratios while ensuring uncompromised structural integrity.

Physical Mock-up Validation: Spatial mock-ups are an essential bridge between CAD and production. Early 3D-printed prototypes enable us to fine-tune ergonomics, verify seamless manufacturability, and finalize every functional detail before transitioning to CNC machining.

What if ACTOFIVE made an E-Bike Frame?

That's what we had to ask ourselves as electric assistance has undeniably reshaped modern mountain biking.

As bike obsessives and designers, we couldn't ignore this shift - so we engineered a modular, precision-machined CNC platform powered with next-generation electric assistance by the maxon BIKEDRIVE AIR-S system (Switzerland).

And we haven't forgotten non-assisted riders: we developed the platform to also fit a Pinion Drive Technology | MGU | Gearbox | Smart.Shift gearbox incl. Smart.Shift and belt drive for pure, human-powered adventures. Both systems share the same frame and interface.

It’s been a little quiet on our end lately - and for good reason.

Behind the scenes, we’ve been cooking up something entirely new: endless hours in CAD, running simulations, and pushing our design language into new territory.

We’re not ready to reveal the full picture just yet, but something special is actively taking shape.

The crew over at MTB-News.de // IBC just dropped their comprehensive review of our I-TRAIN 32 platform.
They took the big wheels out to real technical trails, putting its rollover behavior, climbing traction, and descending capabilities to the test.
