We are very happy to share that our proposal for the new interiors of Schloss Bellevue, the official residence of the German Federal President in Berlin, has received a Recognition in the design competition.
Our proposal, “Measure and Balance”, builds on the many layers of Schloss Bellevue and develops them further. Rather than introducing a new stylistic language, we worked with what is already there — connecting the rooms through materials, colours and recurring architectural elements, and adding a new layer to the history of the house.
At the heart of the proposal is an idea of refined civic character and discreet representation — an expression of Germany that is confident without being monumental, elegant without being ostentatious, and open rather than imposing.
We are very proud to see our work recognised by the jury — and deeply grateful to our incredible team for all the thought, energy and dedication that went into this project.
