Competitions are no longer part of my life. Do I miss them? Honestly, no. They don’t hold the same meaning for me anymore.
But whether I ever compete again or not, I’ll always practise square French. For me, it has always been the structure that represents precision and the pursuit of perfection.
Sometimes I think: “Olena, I’m not sure what you’re practising for… but you’re ready!” 🤣
And yet, the more I practise, the more I see how much I can still improve. A never-ending story. :)
When I stopped competing, I was afraid I might lose my skills. I’d seen it happen to others, and that’s probably one of the reasons I’ve kept practising regularly.
Today, I can honestly say I do better nails than I ever did before. And I still find something to work on every time.
