Why does a mining camp office in Indonesia need a completely different roof❓

Standard modular specs are built for temperate climates. Indonesia isn't one. Annual rainfall runs above 2,000mm, humidity sits near 90% year-round, and a flat roof structure just moves the problem indoors.

In 2026, WELLCAMP completed a PREFABRICATED T House project in Indonesia — a connected accommodation, office and gym facility built to actually perform in tropical conditions.

👉 Two things made it work.
An additional gable roof over the module structure handles rainfall drainage and creates an air circulation layer that cuts the heat load on the space below. Lower indoor temperature, lower air conditioning cost.

Adjustable louver windows at 45° draw in natural airflow while keeping rain and insects out. In high-humidity environments, ventilation matters as much as insulation. Galvanized steel structure with baking paint and powder coating throughout — because in coastal and humid inland sites, the anti-corrosion spec determines whether the building is still performing five years from now.

Inside, multiple units connect into a single open-plan space with no intermediate partition walls. Assembled on site without cranes. 🏗
