In March 2027, we will offer a unique training session for piano technicians. 🎹🔬

'GRAND PIANO ACTION REPLACEMENT - STEP BY STEP'

Here is the program:
- Why would you like to replace an action? Costs, time, etc...
- Action geometry: spread, magic lines, center pins position, hammer boring calculation... Traveling, hammer hanging method, Wi**en position and regulation.
- Replacing a keyboard: how, how much, and who.
- Action balancing: Hammers and key weighting. Choose carefully your hammers weight. Calculating leads position easily. Using wisely the Renner KMD.
Comparison between different methods for action balancing.
- Practical method to repare the keys - weight hammers and keys.
- Analysing data's of different actions from different pianos. Discussing how to improve them.
- Analysing new pianos and discussing how to improve them. You can come with your own datas if you wish, so we will find the issues and provide the best solution together.

No need to come with your own action, but you can if you wish!

Come to our workshop near Le Vaud, between Geneva and Lausanne, Switzerland 🇨🇭, get new skills and provide new services to your customers!
We also have good w**e and cheese...🍷🧀

🏨👩‍🍳 Hotel and restaurant right next to the workshop. We can pick you up at any train station or airport nearby (Gland, Gevena, Lausanne...).

Registrations open from November 2026. Follow us, stay tuned.

In 2027, we will host a hands-on training session dedicated to the complete replacement and optimisation of a grand piano action. 🇨🇭🎹

Participants will take measurements directly from the pianos, design the new action, and then install the new action stack—milled in advance, of course. They will then be able to play the instruments with their existing actions and compare them directly with the newly designed actions.

Come over to learn how to design an action stack, a keyboard, and how to balance your action using modern tools.

We plan to work on at least two pianos, possibly three, including a Swiss concert grand. So, places will be quite limited.

Interested? Let us know.

Thank you all for your orders! Last week we sent parcels to the USA (mostly), Australia, France, Switzerland, Belgium... 🇨🇭🌍🇺🇸🇧🇪🇦🇺🦘🇪🇺

We have slightly under-estimated the number of orders for our new Hammer tapering jig, so we will be producing more tools very soon. 🔬⚙️

Meanwhile, there are still 12 of them in stock, so be fast as you may have to wait a bit for the next batch. 📦📭

Our dear colleagues from Taffijn piano supply will get some tools in stock by the end of the week, so feel free to order also through them!

Taper your hammer heads with or without shanks. This is the first tool of this kind with the most perfect design.
The angled support is made for the blade to avoid the shank. Any hammers dimension will fit.

Safe and effective! 👍
