Für die Schulanlage Dohlenzelg durften wir gemeinsam mit Husner AG das Tragwerk für Turnhalle und Schulhaus umsetzen.

Die Doppelturnhalle wird über grossformatige, vorgefertigte Fachwerkträger aus Lungern überspannt. Durch die komplette Vormontage im Werk konnte die Montagezeit vor Ort stark reduziert werden, trotz logistischer Herausforderung mit Ausnahmetransporten.

Im Schulhaus kamen in Stützen und Unterzügen verschiedene GSA Verbindungen zum Einsatz. Die Unterzüge wurden mit unsichtbaren GSA K Verbindern auf die Stützen gesteckt.

Die Aussteifung erfolgt über biegesteif angeschlossene Stützen mit Montagestoss. Dank hohem Vorfertigungsgrad konnten diese passgenau versetzt und mit lediglich vier Stahlbolzen montiert werden.

Das Foyertragwerk in Stabbuche basiert auf regionalem Rohmaterial aus dem Windischer Wald. Die zwei Mittelstützen sind so massiv, dass eine 3-Fach Blockverklebung erforderlich war.

For the Dohlenzelg school complex, we had the opportunity to deliver the structural system for the sports hall and school building together with Husner AG.

The double sports hall is spanned by large-scale, prefabricated truss girders manufactured in Lungern. Thanks to full preassembly in the factory, on-site installation time was significantly reduced – despite logistical challenges involving special transports.

In the school building, various GSA connections were used in columns and beams. The beams were installed onto the columns using concealed GSA K connectors.

Lateral stability is provided by rigidly connected columns with moment-resisting splice joints. Due to the high level of prefabrication, the columns could be positioned accurately and installed using only four steel bolts.

The foyer structure is made of beech edge-glued laminatet timber, based on regional raw material from the Windisch forest. The two central columns were of such magnitude that they required triple block lamination.

✔ 12 Holz Beton Verbundträger – BauBuche und GSA-HBV
✔ Unterspannung- Zugstangen bis Ø 100 mm
✔ Montage der ca. 13t Elemente auf 30 m Höhe durch
✔ Präzision bestätigt durch gemessene 18 mm Verformung nach Ablassen des Montagegerüsts

For the Seerhein Panorama Konstanz project, we delivered the primary structure of the ceiling on the 3rd floor:

✔ 12 timber–concrete composite beams made of BauBuche and GSA-HBV
✔ Under-tensioned construction with tension rods in diameters up to Ø 100 mm
✔ Installation of the approx. 13-ton elements at a height of 30m by Blumer-Lehmann AG
✔ Precision confirmed by a measured 18 mm vertical deflection after removal of the temporary er****on scaffolding

Für Hirsbrunner Holzbau AG durften wir ein Tragwerk für ein Stallneubau mit sechs 20 m langen Bogenbindern planen und produzieren. Durch eine gezielt platzierte Mittelstütze – an einem Ort, wo sie nicht stört- konnte die Spannweite reduziert und der Binder so dimensioniert werden, dass er trotz enger Vorgaben zwischen Aussenkontur und Kranbahn passt. Zusätzlich konnte dadurch deutlich Kosten eingespart werden.
Der kleine Radius der Bogenbinder bringt hohe Querzugspannungen mit sich. Deshalb wurden Querzugverstärkungen mit eingeklebten Gewindestangen eingeplant. Auch die stark belastete Querdruckverstärkung der Mittelstütze wurde mit GSA-Technologie gelöst.

For Hirsbrunner Holzbau AG, we had the opportunity to design and produce the structural system for a new livestock building, featuring six 20 m long curved beams. A strategically placed central column—positioned where it does not interfere with functionality—allowed us to reduce the span and dimension the beams to fit precisely between the outer geometry and crane runway height. This also enabled significant cost savings.
The tight curvature of the curved beams results in high tensile stresses perpendicular to the grain. To address this, reinforcements with bonded-in threaded rods were implemented. The heavily loaded zone with compression perpendicular to the grain at the central column was also reinforced using GSA technology.

For this exciting project at the base of mount Matterhorn, the preparation of the work planning and the production of the primary grid was executed by n'H.
The support structure was made entirely from Swiss timber, with HSH certification. 💯🇨🇭

A beautiful agricultural building in the idyllic Engelberg Valley. 🌲
We were entrusted with the structural analysis, truss design, as well as the manufacturing, cutting, and delivery of the truss frames including the main beam – naturally complete with all connection steel parts, fasteners, and anchoring elements.

We are particularly pleased that we were able to successfully integrate our GSA-G connection and GSA-LMV system in this project. ⚙️🏗️✨

From Idea to Reality – A Project with Character. 🏗️🪵

Good things take time – and this one turned out exceptionally strong:
an extraordinary structure, both technically sophisticated and aesthetically compelling.

🔩 Numerous GSA high-performance connectors (LMV, HBV, GSA-T) were used, ensuring maximum load-bearing capacity with minimal material use.
👀 The result? A true eye-catcher, seamlessly integrated into a holistic architectural concept that convinces down to the last detail.

For the third time, we had the pleasure of delivering an impressive structural system for a hangar building on behalf of Strüby Konzept AG for Pilatus Aircraft Ltd. This time: 145 m long and 39 m wide – completely column-free. 💪✈️

The new maintenance hangar offers an open floor plan for maximum flexibility, supported by integrated crane systems. Directly attached: a three-storey timber annex housing a workshop, office space, and customer area – modern and sustainable. 🌱

Our scope of work:
🛠️ Engineering, workshop planning, manufacturing, cutting, and delivery of the complete hall structure, including all related steel connection parts and fasteners.
A project that combines functionality, innovation, and sustainability. We’re proud to be part of it. 🔧🏗️

🔗High-Performance Connectors for Hybrid Structures: GSA at the Bridge in Steinen (CH)

🌉For the new bridge, crossing the river ‘Steineraa’ in (CH), an innovative hybrid structure was implemented.
Both materials, glued laminated timber (GL) and UHPFRC (Cement-Bonded-Ultra-High-Performance Fibre-Reinforced Concrete) were combined,
using local materials. The performance of such structures is strongly governed by its connection system:
The GSA technology provides a durable and ductile high performance connection between the load-bearing UHPFRC deck slab and the Gluelam beams.

❓Why ?
The deck slab is suspended via GSA anchors into the main beam.
Vertical and shear forces are transferred from slab into beam.
In using GSA-Technology, the structure acts as a stiff, U-shaped cross-section and as a diaphragm.

🔑Conclusion:
The connection technology is the key element for this slender, material-saving hybrid structure.
It forms the backbone of an elegant, high-performance, and sustainable bridge system,
where both materials, timber and UHPFRC work together perfectly.

🏗️ We are proud to have delivered the impressive timber structure for three new halls at Wpl Thun in 2021! 💪 With lengths of up to 105m, the halls are connected by a hybrid wood and steel corridor.
🌲 1,400 m³ of certified Swiss laminated timber – sourced mainly from the region!
🔩 Complex constructions with penetrations, HBV beams & cantilevered steel profiles mastered with precision.

🔬🌲For the local governance of Aargau, the new Office for Consumer Protection (AVS laboratory) shines in an impressive, two-storey timber construction made from regional timber from the region Oberentfelden. 🏢💚
The around 700 cubic metres of glulam was produced and processed directly in our factory in Lungern and ensures the stability of the building.
The 60pcs. round pergola supports are all unique in design and shape. 🌳👌
