💭 What makes a great contractor ? 💭

Is it delivering flawless results 100% of the time? 🤩

Having the cheapest most affordable rates around? 💵

Perhaps it’s being able to start at a moments notice. ⏰

I don’t think it’s either of these things.

It’s about remembering that you’re working on someone’s home.
Whether you’re a framer, an electrician or anything in between. 🔨 🎨 ⚡️

It’s about accountability and responsibility. To your work and the ones who are counting on you.

None of us are perfect and what happens next is most important.
On the rare occasion something isn’t quite right; you take responsibility for it. You show up, you make it right, and you hold the repair to the same standard you would have expected from yourself the first time.

Mistakes don’t define you in whatever role you’re in. But how you handle them does. And My promise isn’t to do perfect work 100% of the time for the next 40 years. It’s that I have your back even after the tools are put away. 🤝

It’s pretty rare 💎

But sometimes before and after photos are actually taken!

Sometimes the little defects are impossible to see until the primer pulls the dust out of them.

It could be a tiny missed edge,

A small portion shrinking a little more than the rest

Even a piece of dirt the size of a grain of sand will make a scratch that stands out as plain as can be.

And If you don’t check every inch with a halogen light? You may not even see it until the lights are installed or the painting is done.

Standing between the Atlantic and a quiet Dust Laden new build can be very meditative at times.

I don’t have have a wing suit or an elevator. 🪽
But damn this metal tech scaffold sure is convenient.
And safe!

It’s been called by many names:
~Drywall Refinishing
~Painting
~Decorating

This one could be called a Restoration.

The fact of the matter is Anyone can roll paint on a wall. The real work is in making the surface beneath it disappear and the paint itself uniform in sheen and consistent in tracking.

A grand reset. So all the wear and tear, the evidence of abuse just vanishes like an old memory beneath the last coat.
