Job Description:

Northern Security Services is seeking a reliable and professional Security Guard to join our team in Yellowknife, NT. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining safety and security at assigned sites, including outdoor locations in varying weather conditions.

Key Duties:

* Patrol assigned areas on foot and by vehicle
* Monitor premises to prevent theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access
* Respond to alarms and emergency situations
* Write detailed daily activity and incident reports
* Control access to buildings and restricted areas
* Provide customer service and assist visitors when needed
* Communicate with supervisors and law enforcement when required

Work Conditions:

* Work may be performed outdoors in all weather conditions, including extreme cold, snow, and wind typical of Yellowknife
* Standing and walking for extended periods
* Night, weekend, and shift work may be required

Requirements:

* Secondary school completion
* Previous security experience is an asset
* Valid security guard license (or willingness to obtain)
* Good communication and observation skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
