COMPOST IS SOLD OUT FOR THE SUMMER 😱

Our next batches will be ready for Sept, in time for fall ammendment.
We still have composted mulch and worm castings.

It's was very successful spring - early summer season for us, and still extremely busy. We have some news coming for the end of summer.... 😎 Stay tuned!

We are very happy and proud to hear all of the great comments, you! - gardeners, are sharing on social media lately. We work very hard to produce high quality products and it is heart warming to hear about the good results you are getting ☺️

We would also love to take this moment to recognize some of the small local businesses that truly shine in their generosity and having our back through their mentorship, their willingness to redirect organic waste and accommodate our limited means, lending of equipment and so much more. HUGE shout-out to and without whom we could not dream of still being in the game and slowly growing up ☺️ We cannot say enough how meaningful your support is to us 🧡

Is it spring yet??? We are sure preparing for it.

And in the meantime, its compost week and a perfect time to let you know that we will be at the Trade Show next weekend with samples of our products and some newly designed gift certificates you can use to buy yourself a treat or for a lovely Mother's Day gift.

We keep our fingers crossed our official opening will be be May long weekend. We will continue to update you 🌱

Today is Earth Day 🌎♻️🌱 What better time to introduce our bran new website!!

There are still work being done, but its live and very soon will have online shopping options 🛒, a blog, a news room and a learning center.

Everyday is Earth Day at NCS. As we prepare for the season ahead, today is a good occasion to highlight some of the things we have achieved in 2025:
We have collected and processed over 155 tons of local organic waste and turned it into over 110 cubic yards of high quality compost. (we have achieved Quality AA, the highest classification on the market 😎)
Not only all of this waste was revalued and diverted from our landfill, but it avoided 110 cubic yards of compost from being loaded on a truck far away, and travelling thousands of km to get into the NWT.
Overall, our efforts have offset roughly 55 tons in GHG emissions from those 7 months of operation alone ☺️ that's the equivalent of 12-15 passenger vehicle off the road for a full year!
On top of that, local gardens and soils all around the NWT have seen local nutrients and microbes returning to feed it's structure. That's a big win.

We have big plans for this year, and we are ready to take some big leaps. Check the website, reach out to us and follow our page to stay tuned with our upcoming projects! And place your compost order, we are at it everyday, and if weather conditions improve soon, we should be ready before end of May :)

It may not yet be very warm but spring is definitely around the corner!! 🌞

Our seedling mix is ready to grow and we have lots in stock 🌱
Based on our fish compost, it will do great to support strong development for up to 6-8 week before any need to fertilize further.

Also new this spring, we have limited quantities of pure worm casting, we produced with the same passion and dedication as with our other products.
We are now producing on a consistent basis, and our stock should keep increasing 🪱🪱

Winter is here!! 🥶

As nature is setting itself under a blanket of snow and ice for a few months of rest, we continue to work hard to prepare compost for your next gardening season. The pile we built earlier this week is already steaming hot (130F!) and we are very encouraged to see that our winter set up is giving good results.

It will be a season of experiments, creative thinking and hard work for us to battle the winter, but also it seems, very exciting 😃🔥
