We are seeking a motivated, safety-focused Journeyman Sheet Metal Mechanic to join our growing team.
Position Summary
As a Journeyman Sheet Metal Mechanic, you will install, fabricate, modify, and commission commercial HVAC duct systems and related components on a wide variety of mechanical construction projects. Working alongside our plumbing and heating teams, you will play an important role in delivering high-quality installations safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
• Install commercial HVAC ductwork, fittings, and accessories.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and shop drawings.
• Lay out duct systems according to project plans.
• Install dampers, VAV boxes, diffusers, grilles, fire dampers, and related equipment.
• Perform field fabrication and modifications as required.
• Coordinate work with other trades and project supervisors.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe worksite.
• Follow all company safety policies and territorial regulations.
• Mentor apprentices and promote quality workmanship.
Qualifications
• Journeyman Sheet Metal Mechanic Certification (Red Seal preferred).
• Valid driver's licence.
• Ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings.
• Experience with commercial mechanical construction.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems and sheet metal installation practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Positive attitude and commitment to quality workmanship.
Assets
• Experience working on commercial or industrial projects.
• Experience with duct fabrication and layout.
• Fall Protection, Aerial Work Platform, WHMIS, CSTS, or other safety certifications.
• Experience working in northern or remote communities.

Schedule
• Monday to Saturday.
