🏗️ ROUGH FRAMING IS MORE THAN JUST THE OUTSIDE OF THE HOUSE.
When you hear “rough framing,” you might picture the exterior wood structure going up and think that’s where the job ends.
But there’s a lot more to it than that! 👀
The work doesn’t stop once the walls are standing.
Once the HVAC trade, and stair crews have completed their work, our framing crews need to return to the site to complete additional framing around their installations.
🔨 Completing framing around HVAC ductwork
🔨 Completing areas around stair openings and stair systems
🔨 Backframing walls, bulkheads, and other areas
🔨 Making sure the structure is ready for the next stages of construction
This is where experience, communication, and teamwork between trades really matter.
Rough framing is about understanding the entire construction process — not just putting up the exterior walls.
At N.R. Carpentry Ltd., we take pride in the knowledge, skill, and attention to detail our crews bring to every project.
From footings to backframing, our team understands that every stage of framing plays an important role in keeping construction moving forward.
🏡 Good framing is the foundation of a successful build.
💬 For the builders and tradespeople out there:
What’s one part of rough framing that you think people outside the construction industry don’t realize is involved?
