Residential Roofing Upgrade | Class 4 Impact-Resistant Shingles

Another exterior project completed by Heaven’s Gate Inc.

For this home, the existing roofing system was replaced with new Class 4 impact-resistant shingles, providing an upgraded roofing system designed for greater durability and resistance to impact from severe weather and hail.

The project included removal of the existing shingles, preparation and inspection of the roof surface, installation of the new roofing system, and all of the finishing details required to properly protect the home.

With the weather we experience in Manitoba, the roofing system is one of the most important parts of protecting a home. Choosing a quality impact-resistant shingle provides an additional level of durability while also giving the exterior a clean, updated appearance.

Another extensive condo renovation completed by Heaven’s Gate, with work carried throughout the unit to update the layout, finishes and overall feel of the space.

One of the biggest changes was opening up the main living area. The wall separating the kitchen and dining space was removed, allowing us to completely redesign the kitchen around a much more open layout and create the large peninsula that now connects the two spaces.

The renovation included:

* Complete removal and replacement of the existing kitchen and cabinetry
* Extensive custom cabinetry with integrated display cabinets and lighting
* New quartz countertops and large peninsula
* New appliances, including island range and suspended hood fan
* New backsplash and under-cabinet lighting
* Custom wood feature detailing incorporated into the kitchen
* Hardwood flooring installed throughout the main living areas
* New tiled fireplace feature wall with integrated linear fireplace and wall-mounted TV
* Extensive painting and finishing throughout the unit
* New carpet throughout the bedrooms
* Completely updated main bathroom with new tile, cabinetry, vanity, countertop and fixtures
* Ensuite renovation with tiled shower, custom glass enclosure, new flooring, vanity and fixtures
* Updated electrical and lighting to suit the new layout and finishes

A lot of this project was about bringing all of the individual details together. Opening the kitchen changed the way the main living space functions, while the cabinetry, quartz, hardwood, fireplace feature and bathroom finishes give the entire unit a much more modern and consistent feel.

Prairie Pointe Basement Development – Completed by Heaven’s Gate

A basement development is about a lot more than drywall and flooring. This Prairie Pointe project was built from the ground up with comfort, sound control, functionality and custom finishing in mind.

The basement was fully insulated, including the exterior walls and ceiling/floor-joist cavities for improved sound separation from the main floor. We also installed an insulated subfloor system before finishing the space with LVP flooring, creating a warmer and more comfortable finished floor.

The bathroom was finished to the same standard, featuring a custom Schluter shower system with large-format tile, glass enclosure, custom vanity and quartz countertop, along with high-end BARIL Pro fixtures and coordinated matte-black hardware throughout. The focus was on using quality materials and fixtures throughout rather than builder-grade finishes.

Custom cabinetry was incorporated throughout, including the entertainment unit and a dedicated bar/w**e area with quartz countertops and wall-mounted w**e storage. We also incorporated a Murphy-style hidden door providing access to a concealed storage room — making use of space that would otherwise have been lost.

The closets were finished with heavy-duty shelving and hanging systems, while the doors, trim and finishing carpentry were completed throughout with upgraded Weiser hardware and a consistent modern finish.

From the insulated subfloor and soundproofing behind the walls to the custom cabinetry, finishing carpentry, Schluter shower system and BARIL Pro fixtures, this was a basement designed and built as a true extension of the home — not simply additional finished square footage.

Another completed renovation by Heaven’s Gate — Niakwa Place.

This condo received a substantial interior update, bringing a much brighter, cleaner and more modern feel throughout the space.

The project included a complete kitchen renovation with new cabinetry, quartz countertops and backsplash, new sink and fixtures, along with large-format tile flooring carried throughout the renovated areas.

Both bathrooms were also completely updated. The main bathroom received a new custom tiled walk-in shower with glass enclosure and updated fixtures, while the primary ensuite was renovated with a new Jacuzzi tub, extensive large-format tile work, new double vanity with quartz countertop, fixtures and finishing.

From cabinetry and countertops to tile, plumbing, electrical, painting and final finishing, Heaven’s Gate coordinated the project and the experienced trades behind each part of the renovation.

We’re very happy with how this one came together. The consistency of the materials throughout the kitchen and bathrooms gives the condo a clean, cohesive look while making much better use of the existing spaces.

Another outdoor project completed in Bridgewater.

This one brought together several different elements to create a clean, modern outdoor space that complements the home from front to back.

The project included professional landscaping and site preparation, artificial turf, decorative stone and boulders, landscape edging, lighting, stepping-stone walkways and hardscaping.

In the backyard, the project was finished with a large composite deck, integrated stairs and skirting, glass and aluminum railings, composite privacy screening, and a custom aluminum pergola that was engineered and constructed to integrate with the home.

A lot of coordination goes into a project like this, and we’re fortunate to work with experienced trades who take pride in the details and quality of their work. The landscaping in particular was exceptionally well executed, from the grading and stonework to the turf installation and finishing details.

At Heaven’s Gate, we can manage the complete project — bringing together the right trades, materials and design elements so our clients aren’t left trying to coordinate multiple contractors themselves.

Here’s an update on the custom bathroom we shared earlier. The major tile work is now complete, and the space is starting to show the level of detailing we aim for on our higher-end renovation projects.

This bathroom features:

• Large-format porcelain tile throughout
• Full floor, wall, and ceiling tile installation
• Custom-tiled shower bench and inset niche with brass trim
• Coordinated brass hardware and future fixtures
• Waterproofed and sloped shower base with mosaic floor tile
• Custom glass enclosure installed specifically for steam-shower use
• Precision tile symmetry and aligned transitions throughout

Because this is a steam shower, the enclosure is fully sealed with floor-to-ceiling glass to ensure proper moisture control, heat retention, and system performance.

Still to come:

• Custom vanity and countertops
• High-end plumbing fixtures and accessories
• Final electrical and mirror installation
• Trim, and overall finishings

As we move into the final stages, the room is beginning to show the clean, cohesive look we design for—materials tying into each other, surfaces aligned, and all mechanical trades coordinated to support the final aesthetic.

Here’s a look at one of our current basement projects in Prairie Pointe. The space is now entering the finishing phase, with several custom components already in place.

This development includes:
• An insulated subfloor system for comfort, warmth, and long-term performance
• Full soundproofing and perimeter insulation
• A custom dry bar with built-in cabinetry, integrated storage, and upcoming w**e racks
• A fully tiled bathroom with a walk-in shower and custom vanity
• Coordinated lighting throughout, including zoned pot lights
• Custom entertainment cabinetry sized to the room for a clean, integrated layout

This custom basement in Sage Creek was completed last year and reflects a thoughtful, detail-driven approach to interior construction.

The space features high-end carpeting throughout, a fully insulated subfloor, and comprehensive sound insulation for comfort and noise control. All baseboards, door casings, and interior doors were finished in hardwood, custom stained and lacquered to provide a durable, cohesive finish that elevates the overall space. Lighting was carefully coordinated using fully dimmable LED fixtures to suit both everyday living and entertaining.

A significant design feature of the space is the custom cabinetry, including a wall-to-wall entertainment unit with integrated storage, soft-close pull-out drawers, and European cabinetry hardware. This is complemented by a custom dry bar with built-in refrigeration and w**e storage on both sides.

An 80” built-in electric fireplace anchors the main living area, finished with wood and tile paneling that extends above the cabinetry and ties seamlessly into the adjacent TV wall.

The bathroom was designed as a fully finished, spa-style space with a fully tiled floor, in-floor heating, oversized walk-in shower with bench and wall niche, custom glass enclosure, and Baril Pro fixtures throughout.

This project highlights our focus on clean detailing, durable materials, and functional design—built to feel finished, cohesive, and comfortable.
