The University of Manitoba’s Administration Building is one of the university’s original buildings, constructed in 1911–1913. We restored the sashes and frames and replaced the exterior trim in the octagonal cupola (dome like structure on top of the roof) by creating exact replicas of the original wooden window frame. When our client needed a 100-year-old window replicated, they came to the right place. Heritage replication is one of our specialties, after all!

For this project, we recreated the original shutters, frame, trim, and true divided-lite sash with single-pane, putty-glazed glass to preserve the authentic character of the original.

We’re honoured to receive the 2026 Preservation Award For Excellence for our work done on Roslyn Square in Osborne Village. Nearly 550 windows and 165 porch enclosures were meticulously rebuilt, one by one, preserving their original charm while seamlessly integrating energy-efficient dual panes.

A cornerstone Francophone institution, where ceremonial entry architecture reflects cultural and academic significance.

Our scope of work here was an archival‑based replication of a highly ornate round‑top double wood entry door with arched transom, designed from historical photographs with complex decorative detailing.
