Despite a wet start to the morning, the weather cleared just in time for an incredible day at the 20th Annual Henry Derksen Memorial Classic in support of the ALS Society of Manitoba (ALS Society of Manitoba).

This year’s tournament brought together:
• 156 golfers
• 22 volunteers
• 10 major sponsors
• 23 hole sponsors
• 6 additional sponsors

Congratulations to this year’s Tournament Champions, WD Industrial, and to the Moms Team for taking home Best Dressed honours.

Thank you to every golfer, volunteer, sponsor, and supporter who helped make the day such a success. Your generosity and continued support help the ALS Society of Manitoba provide vital programs, equipment, and services for Manitobans living with ALS and their families.

For 20 years, this tournament has been a testament to what can be accomplished when a community comes together for a great cause. Thank you to everyone who continues to make it possible!

Between Canada Day this week and Team Canada’s historic FIFA World Cup Round of 16 match tomorrow, it’s safe to say our office is feeling pretty patriotic. 🇨🇦

We hope your summer is off to a great start and that you’re finding a few moments to enjoy the sunshine, cheer on Canada or whichever team you call your own, and soak up a little summer spirit.

And before anyone asks… yes, Miguel is even more excited about Portugal’s win last night. If he’d had his Portugal jersey with him when we took this photo (much earlier in the week!), there’s no question he’d have worn it for his photo. 😉⚽

It was an honour to support the 7th Annual Cooper Nemeth Memorial All-Star Day this past spring, and we’re incredibly heartened to hear what a success it was!

We recently received a plaque and card sharing that $40,378 was raised for the Cooper Nemeth Memorial Player Assistance Fund. Knowing these funds will help more young athletes participate in the sport they love makes this recognition especially meaningful to us.

We were fortunate to spend part of the day at the rink, and it was inspiring to see so many families, volunteers, sponsors, and community members come together in support of youth hockey in Winnipeg.

Spring has officially hit Manitoba, and you know what they say, “Work hard, BBQ hard!”, right? 😏

A few snapshots from the past little while: work out in cottage country and up north in Gillam, a crisp spring evening get-together with some of our crews and their families (shoutout to Kerry for manning three smokers at once!), our first office BBQ in the new multi-purpose room after the wind chased us inside, and of course… can’t have smoky dogs without office dogs! 🌭🐶 Ozzie, Maisy, Moose and Boone have all been taking turns holding down the fort lately.

Skilled trades workers help build and maintain the spaces we all rely on every day. From hospitals and schools to offices, factories and homes, we rely on the people who know how to build, repair and maintain these spaces. National Skilled Trades Day is a chance to recognize those individuals.

Across Canada, there’s growing investment in apprenticeship and skilled trades training as demand for the industry continues to grow. There’s never been a better time to explore a career in the trades.

Toolbox Talk time for our service department! ☕️ 🧰

Every two weeks, the crew gets together to talk through safety, current work, and what’s coming next. It’s where experience gets shared, details get sorted out, and everyone heads back into the field on the same page.

Led by Tom on the far left, this is some of the team you’ll see out on our service calls across the city. Not everyone was able to make this one, but shoutout to Matt, Dan, Nick, Sam and Trevor for letting us sit in.
