Owner and Chief Product Designer, for Lunar Lounge, Jonathan overseas the entire design and fabrication process of his Small Design firm that has sold its products around the globe. His hand made, original pieces have been featured in print, television and music videos furthering his reach and expanding his client base globally. Jonathan, born and raised in Winnipeg and having a passion for mid-century design and architecture, found his niche by combining his interest of artistic expression through the medium of functional product design. A marriage of the two seems to be what Sebastian Excels with. He follows an approach to design that is fresh, organic and pragmatic, designing furniture and items that are beautiful and that serves a practical purpose. With a self-taught, learn-as- he go’s philosophy towards design that allows him to approach challenges freely and to discover new ideas. Taking an idea from the past and using modern materials and Eco-friendly processes to create practical solutions for today’s environment while retaining the same charm from decades ago.
