There's something about a long weekend in summer. The smell of the grill drifting over the fence. Kids running through the sprinkler while the adults finally sit still for a minute. Neighbors wandering over because they smelled the burgers too. The kind of evening that stretches a little longer because nobody has anywhere else to be.

That's what Monday, August 3rd is all about, and we hope you get one of those days for yourself. So we'll be closing our doors for the Civic Holiday to spend it the same way, around the fire, around the table, around the people who make the busy season worth it.

Before the long weekend hits, we're open Saturday, August 1st from 8am to 5pm if you need to stock up. And once the holiday's over, we'll be back bright and early Tuesday, August 4th from 7am to 6pm, ready to help you pick up right where you left off.

Enjoy the weekend. Fire up the grill, pull up a chair, and soak it in. 🌿🔥

Last Sunday of the season. 🚛☀️

This Sunday, July 12th, is the last Sunday we're open this season, 8AM to 4PM. After that, no more Sundays till next year.

But we're not going anywhere. We'll still be open Monday to Saturday all season long.
If you've got a project on the go, come load up while you can. Soil, mulch, gravel, natural stone, pavers, and bulk products, all in stock and ready to go.

🍁 Happy Canada Day Winnipeg!

Today the Ditchfield crew is closing up, stepping away from the yard and doing what every good Canadian does on July 1st. Finding the nearest BBQ, grabbing a cold drink and reminding ourselves just how lucky we are to call this country home. 🔥🥤

We are closed today, Wednesday July 1st in observance of Canada Day.
Yes we know, a mid week holiday is a little unusual. A Wednesday off right in the middle of the work week is peak Canada energy and honestly we are here for it. 😄🍁

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you Winnipeg for an incredible start to the season. You have shown up, you have kept us busy and we are so grateful for every single one of you. 🙏

And after the rain we have had this year, we think everyone in this city deserves at least one sunny mid week day off. Come on Winnipeg, give us this one. ☀️🤞😄

🌱 SOD RESTOCK IS COMING AND IT WON'T LAST LONG!

We're kicking off the weekend with a small amount of sod available TODAY, May 29th. Stock is limited and it's first come, first served until our next load arrives Monday, June 1st.

Speaking of Monday, pre-orders for our fresh restock are open RIGHT NOW. If you've been putting off that lawn project, now is the time to stop waiting and start planning. Secure your spot in line before the weekend stock runs dry.

Sod is a perishable product and we can only bring in so much at a time, so we always recommend getting your order in early. If we do run out before Monday, not to worry. Just get your pre-order in and you'll be first in line when the fresh load hits.

Depending on demand we may be bringing in a second load later in the week as well, so we'll keep you posted on that.

We know. We KNOW. It has been a long wait and this spring has tested every single one of us. But the wait is almost over because Peat Sod arrives at Ditchfield this Monday May 25th! 🎉

Later than usual? Yes. Worth the wait? Absolutely. 💚
Peat sod is hands down one of the best ways to get a thick, lush, beautiful lawn fast. No waiting for seed to grow, no patchy results, just instant green and we are bringing in the good stuff. 🌿

📋 PREORDERS are open until END OF DAY FRIDAY MAY 23rd. Reserve your sod now and it is yours, guaranteed and set aside when it lands Monday morning. This is the only way to guarantee your order so do not sleep on it!
