Hockey season is back, and you know we’re happy about it! 🏒

It also gives us an excuse to revisit a meaningful project: River Heights Arena.

After years of use, the rink boards had shifted, creating gaps, uneven edges, and gates that weren’t closing properly.

The solution went deeper than simply replacing the boards. The project called for a new screw-pile and grade-beam system to create a stronger, more stable foundation, carefully designed around the arena’s existing brine lines.

River Heights Arena has been part of the neighbourhood for generations, so we are proud to help give this well-loved rink a solid foundation for many more seasons to come.

Renovating an active personal care home takes careful consideration of the people who are still using the space every day.

At Meadowood Manor, we renovated the front offices in one of the building’s busiest areas. With residents, staff, and visitors moving through the facility, we had to carefully map out every stage of the work.

Our team coordinated site access, created safe pathways, and managed an intensive renovation while respecting the home's day-to-day needs.

From Montessori to university, education spaces do more than hold a classroom.

Over the years, Tractus has proudly worked across a wide range of educational and institutional facilities in Winnipeg, from lounge areas to lecture halls and every student and faculty hub in between.

That work has included upgraded learning environments, redesigned gathering spaces, accessible washrooms, elevator installs, and tech-forward enhancements designed around how people actually use them.

The scope changes from project to project, but the goal stays the same: make the space better for the people in it.

There is always something happening at the Kenaston Co-op Gas Bar jobsite.

Excavators digging. Cranes lifting. Trucks coming and going. Crew working at grade and overhead.

Each day is the result of planning, communication, and a strong team on site.

At the centre of this project is our site superintendent, Phil, coordinating the work, keeping crews in motion, and making sure the next step is ready when it needs to be.

Projects of this scale are only built by many capable hands working in sync. Care for that synchronization is a big part of how we’re Building a Better Experience.

A renovation is one thing. Completing it while the office stays fully operational is another.

Tractus took on a 5,120 sq. ft. renovation for Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba, creating new offices with demountable partitions, new flooring, fresh paint, and all-new millwork.

We connected the space with a vibrant new staircase joining the first and second levels, all while the team at EGM continued working on the first floor

To make it happen, we used a ton of dust barriers, created pathways to avoid the warzone, and planned our work around their day, not the other way around.

The result was a significant renovation delivered with the day-to-day needs of the people using the space kept front and centre.

The partners that made it happen: Ambassador Mechanical Inc., Shammah Professional Painting Inc., the Original Cabinet Shop, IDEATE Design Consulting, Sych Drywall and Plastering.

The details make all the difference at .calm Fire & Ice. 🔥🧊

The immersive wellness space is carefully designed to evoke contrast, connection, and calm contemplation.

The scene is set with saltlights that emit a soft glow and lamps that keep the lighting contemplative. Touches of nature keep the space grounded, while the showerhead is built into a tree to maintain the immersion.

A warm, dim sauna flows from the main relaxation area, keeping guests in an uninterrupted state of zen as they move from hot to cold experiences throughout the space.

Every inch was thought of from the perspective of how it would feel to fully relax into the unique experience, and it shows.

It was a real pleasure to bring every facet of this design to life with the FLOAT.Calm team.

We’re proud to have helped bring this one to life, transforming a former restaurant into a vibrant cocktail lounge inspired by the iconic Talking Heads track.

From opening up the space to preserving its character while meeting modern standards, this project was all about thoughtful design, creative problem-solving, and collaboration with an amazing team of partners.

The result is a cozy spot that showcases the best of Winnipeg with hospitality and personality oozing out of every corner.
