AND THATS A WRAP ON OUR PART OF REEL CRUE CATERING!!

• New deep fryer (original did not meet code)

• Completely redesigned serving window area

• All new upper cabinets with integrated fresh air distribution to eliminate unwanted drafts

• Reworked lower cabinets for toe kick

• New sink

• Revamped exhaust hood to meet code

• Increased exhaust airflow

• Custom designed ventilation system

• New walk-in cooler refrigeration system

• New fresh water tank

• All new gas piping to meet code

• Redesigned propane tank storage to meet code

• New sink work top insert

•New back splash/shelf combo

• Complete new electrical to meet code

• Roof vents for additional ventilation and light

•All new lighting

• Relocated electrical panel from under counter to an accessible area

• Custom electrical conduit covering for ease of cleaning

• New custom drawer section to accept buss tubs

They are now ready to go cater to movie stars! 💫

PART ✌🏻OF REEL CRUE CATERING!

Normally the concession door serves double purpose as a rain shield for customers as well as window protection for travel. The windows were installed in the door when we received this kitchen, so it really did not serve a purpose. We completely removed and redesigned the serving window area to meet the customers needs. They also wanted an area where they could have a dry erase menu board that they installed after we were done.

This client makes their living catering movie and tv shoots in Manitoba. For this reason, this is no ordinary food truck. This is a true commercial kitchen on wheels with every bell and whistle required to provide 5 star meals to high profile clientele.
Initially they hired an Alberta based metal fabricator to build their mobile kitchen.
Unfortunately, Manitoba has much more strict code requirements than any other province, and this 6 figure build wasn’t even close to passing here, and also was not built to the specs the customer requested.
This is sadly all too common of a situation.
People connect with a builder who isn’t familiar with all of the codes and their dream quickly turns into a nightmare. The cost by the time they are ready to run, grossly exceeds their initial budget and the target start date gets thrown out the window. We will highlight some of the common issues with out of province builds in a series we will do on this rebuild.

From initial drawing and design, it is almost complete and ready for testing.
The fan housing has now been fabricated and installed. All that is left is to wire the fans, program the PLC and custom touch screen control and it will be time to test run! ❄️🥶🧊

This will eventually be a portable refrigeration unit used to cool 7.5 million lbs of potatoes.
It will be able to move from shed to shed as the farmer needs cooling in different places!
