Today’s Post is a special post, This is the first project that I designed by myself and prepared blueprints for permit that resulted in construction.
My first project is the Wallaceburg Optometric Clinic (No Wallaceburg Eye Center) that originally opened in Sept of 1972. It was own by my Father and his Partner when it opened in, my father acquired full ownership of the clinic in the late 70’s
The original clinic was built with 3 exam rooms, Waiting Area , Lab, , Small reception area and a Small Eye Glass Dispensary.
It 1992 my father wanted to enlarge the Eye Glass Dispensary and Reception area to have a nice showroom.
My dad and I started working on a preliminary design at the end of 92 and worked on revising the design over the next 16 months. The final Design was completed and construction was started in 1994. The we addition was completed later that year.
I was still in college at the time when I worked on this design.
I have uploaded a new renderings of Clinic, Before and after Pictures of the Exterior, Shots of the interior renovation and a newspaper clipping of the opening ceremony in 1972.
I will also include some pictures of the original interiors in the comments

Today's image is a house that is going to start construction in Old Sandwich Town. This project went through over a year off planning to get approved. The main requirement is that the house had to be approved by Heritage Planning to blend in with the character of the existing neighbourhood.

Detail the had to be approved were style of home, Height of the surrounding homes, colors and finishes as well to be approved.

The image of the block shows and earlier proposal of the house with the two neighbouring homes. This gives you an idea of the importance of the scale for the proposed dwelling.

I will find it interesting to do more Heritage style homes in the future.
