Job description
Responsibilities:
- Install insulation and drywall materials in residential and commercial buildings
- Measure and cut insulation and drywall materials to fit specific areas
- Apply caulk or other sealants to ensure proper insulation
- Install vapour barriers and fire-retardant materials as required
- Repair or replace damaged insulation materials
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure proper installation
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines on job sites
Skills:
- Experience in drywall installation, boarding and taping
- Knowledge of insulation materials and installation techniques
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans
- Proficiency in using tools such as screw guns, tape measures, knifes, and caulk guns
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that require bending, lifting, and climbing
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues
