The categorization of legal and illegal cannabis (a 27.8 million year plant) is a matter of constructed humanity-derived laws intended to benefit the seated law-makers of the time (and perhaps their replacements following them). Apparently, the cannabis market is already $1.5 billion, of which 38.2% or approximately $573.0 million is considered legal and the other $973.0 million illegal. Wasn't it just recently in late 2019 that the edible phase became legal too accounting for 7% of the market already, followed by v**e at 19.5%, dried flowers at 60.7% and the remaining percentage as other. The market economy regional differences could be material considering the average cost in Quebec is $7.88/gram and out in NB its $11.36. Check it out.

The corporate veil of governments has their fingers in the cannabis pie (by making themselves law-makers and proprietors in the industry) and they always want way more (not just monetary) than anyone else. Take for example all the research done on what the medicine can do by so many well-recognized science participators in the industry. This says its more cultural then? There is way too much propaganda for sure! Keep the dialogue going...

News has been out that the province (Ontario) decided on 8 licenses they GAVE to 8 federally registered and regulated communities. The cannabis act is federal legislation and yet the provinces decide on who the [legalized] players are going to be. Guess the cannabis act supersedes other federal legislation's by the looks of it.
