Dear Whitehorse Community,
This morning, we came across a social media post containing several allegations about our company. We feel it is important to address these claims directly and provide accurate information to our community.
First, the post was made anonymously. If someone is genuinely concerned about the community and its people, we believe they should be willing to stand behind their statements with their own name. Making anonymous accusations without evidence only spreads misinformation and damages the reputation of local businesses.
Our Company Structure
Yukon Handyman is owned and operated by 842418 Yukon Inc., There are no shareholders or owners, whose names have been mentioned repeatedly in the comments, such as Mike or Tyler.
Regarding Arctic Construction
Arctic Construction is a completely separate company. They are one of our trusted subcontractors and business partners. Like many construction companies in Whitehorse, we subcontract specialized work when needed, and they do the same with us. This is standard practice throughout the construction industry and should not be interpreted as shared ownership or management.
Regarding Yukon Roofing Co.
The anonymous post also connected us with Yukon Roofing Co. We would like to clarify that we have no ownership, business relationship, or affiliation with Yukon Roofing Co. Before publishing this statement, we reviewed our records and confirmed that we have never worked with them in any capacity.
If anyone associated with Yukon Roofing Co. is reading this, we encourage them to clarify this misinformation as well, since these false allegations affect both businesses.
Addressing Customer Concerns
We also want to address some of the concerns raised.
1. Quality of Work
We are not a perfect company. Like every business, there have been projects where the outcome did not fully meet either our client’s expectations or our own. Whenever this has happened, we have made every effort to resolve the situation fairly and professionally.
We learn from every experience and continuously improve our systems and workmanship. It has never been our intention to mislead or take advantage of any client.
The majority of our business comes from repeat customers and referrals, and we are grateful for the trust our community continues to place in us.
1. Pricing
Our pricing policy is straightforward. In most cases, we provide a written quote before any work begins. Once the customer approves the quote, we proceed with the project.
Some services are billed hourly, depending on the nature of the work.
We understand that services such as snow removal from rooftops may appear expensive. However, this is one of the highest-risk jobs we perform. Our employees receive significantly higher wages for working on rooftops and in extreme temperatures, often below -25°C. These jobs also require additional safety measures, including a dedicated site supervisor and administrative support to ensure everything is completed safely and professionally.
These operational costs are reflected in our pricing, and we are always happy to explain our quotes to customers before work begins.
Regarding the Names Mentioned in the Comments
We noticed that the names Mike and Tyler were repeatedly mentioned in the comments.
Yes, we currently employ two individuals named Mike. They are employees on our payroll. If they had any involvement in matters before joining our company, we have no knowledge of those situations.
After seeing the comments, we spoke directly with both employees and shared screenshots with them. Neither of them knew what the anonymous poster was referring to.
If someone genuinely has concerns involving a specific individual, we encourage them to address that person directly rather than making assumptions about our company or connecting unrelated matters to Yukon Handyman.
About the Comment Section
We also noticed many comments that clearly do not appear to come from our previous customers it's from our competitors . we can see that .
Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but we also recognize that not every comment is made in good faith. We believe some individuals ( our competitors ) are using this opportunity to damage our company’s reputation.
That is unfortunate, but it will not stop us from serving our community and continuing to improve every day.

The anonymous post also attempted to connect different parts of our business as though they were separate companies. To avoid future confusion, here is how Yukon Handyman is structured:
