For my Nova Scotia followers! Muddy Puddle’s goat p**p makes a great fertilizer. I used it in countless gardens back in Nova Scotia. Gotta love locally organic, locally sourced fertilizer 🐐

It’s official: the sun forgot how to set. 😎🌞

Happy first day of summer from the land of midnight sun and blooming fireweed! Up here in the Yukon, the days are long, the bugs are bold, and sleep is optional.

So, I hope your summer solstice is absolutely glowing (in all the best Yukon ways). Here's to fireweed blooms, endless golden skies, and maybe a little sleep....eventually! 😄🌞🌸

☀️ If the forecast is to be believed, we have some high temperatures coming up! 🌡️

Please do not leave your pets unattended in vehicles during hot weather – temperatures can rise in a matter of minutes. Lowering windows does little to protect them in these situations.

If you see a distressed animal in a parked vehicle, write down the license plate, vehicle colour, make and model, and call Bylaw Services at 867-667-2111.

Do not attempt to break the window as you are not authorized to do so, and you are not only putting yourself at risk, but the animal as well.

🍓Hello, June! ☀️

The days are longer, the skies are brighter, and something about the air just feels different. June has officially arrived—bringing with it the scent of sunscreen, the hum of lawnmowers, and those golden hours that stretch into warm, starry nights.

Polemonium pulcherrimum aka beautiful Jacob’s-ladder, showy Jacob’s-ladder!! I found these beauties growing in abundance around historic Carcross, YT.

Jacobs ladder is a flowering plant from the phlox family, and grows naturally in western North America, spanning from Alaska and Yukon down to Arizona and New Mexico. This plant thrives in various mountain environments, such as alpine talus and rocky outcrops at high elevations, and is a frequently seen wildflower across multiple regions.
