Job title: Lawn care & Landscaping Technician
Job type: Full-time/Part-time (Seasonal or year round)
Location: Whitecourt
Pay: $19.00/hour-$25.00/hour - based on experience
Position: Lawn care & landscaping leading into our winter season of snow and ice removal.
We are seeking a reliable, hardworking, positive, and athletic individual to join our summer operations team.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Perform routine lawn maintenance, including mowing, edging, trimming, and blowing debris from sidewalks and driveways.
- Operate and maintain lawn care equipment.
- Apply treatments, such as fertilizers, broad leaf applications, and w**d control applications (when applicable), following safety protocols and environmental regulations.
- Provide landscaping services, including removing/planting shrubs, flower beds, rock beds, etc.
- Complete designated work safely and efficiently
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating professionally with clients, addressing concerns, and ensuring satisfaction with services.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including storing equipment safely and cleaning vehicles after use.
- Monitor and report on the health of clients lawns.
- Effectively work and communicate with coworkers to ensure work stays on task, is completed quickly, and the job is up to company standards.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Drivers licence: Valid drivers licence and reliable transportation to our dispatch location.
- Experience: Experience in lawn care, landscaping, and/or servicing equipment is preferred but not required.
- Physical fitness: Ability to perform demanding tasks for extended periods, including lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, kneeling, and standing for long periods of time in various weather conditions.
- Attention to detail: Keen eye for aesthetics.
- Reliability: Punctual and dependable.
- Teamwork: Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment and follow directions closely.
