⚒️ A new Rheem 40 gallon gas 🔥💧🛢 to maintain insurance coverage on the home 🛠

The extra tank on top (expansion tank) provides thermal expasion relief from the tank and system, prolonging the system life span.

A new vacuum breaker for negative pressure or syphonic situations, and a ball valve instead of the old multi turn, for garunteed simple and effective operation.

Double check your tank serial numbers, and insurance documents to make sure you're still covered! Most companies cover 10 years.

A couple hot water tanks in the past week. Complete with an expansion tank, ball valve, flexible gas hose, vacuum breaker, and all soldered/threaded connections, that are proven to last.

The expansion tank takes the burdon off your piping system to expand and contract with the heating and cooling of the water, which occurs if you are using water or not on a conventional tank. (The coefficient of thermal expansion for water is approximately 0.00021 per degree Celsius. This means that for every 1 degree Celsius increase in temperature, water will expand by 0.00021 times its original volume.)

Old water distribution systems within a household appreciate a break when it comes to the stresses of this thermal expansion and contraction. Do yourself a favour, and protect your asset.
