Concrete is going to crack.

The goal isn’t to stop it completely — it’s to control where it happens.

Once our stamped pool deck had cured enough, Andreas came back with the Stihl concrete saw and cut relief joints using straight plywood guides to keep every cut perfectly straight.

These cuts create a weak point in the slab so any movement or shrinkage happens where we want it to, instead of randomly across the finished surface.

It’s one of those steps most people never see, but it plays a huge role in the long-term durability and appearance of the concrete.

Sometimes it’s the little details that make the biggest difference.

After all the concrete work was finished around this custom indoor ICF pool, it was time for one of the most satisfying parts of the project... peeling off the protective tape from the aluminum pool coping.

One pull reveals a perfectly crisp line between the stamped concrete deck and the pool edge. No grinding. No cleanup. Just a clean, professional finish.

One of the most satisfying moments of any concrete project...

After the pour, the finish work, and waiting for the concrete to set just right, it’s finally time to pull the stamp mats and see what you’ve created.

This is the heated pool deck for our custom SuperForm ICF indoor pool project. Andreas absolutely crushed this one. The texture, detail, and stone appearance are unreal.

A lot of people see the finished product, but not the planning, prep, timing, and skill that goes into getting stamped concrete to look this good.

Pool deck pour day. 💪

This custom SuperForm ICF pool is another step closer to the finish line. Today we poured the heated pool deck and got everything ready for stamping. From the hydronic system underneath to the final concrete finish on top, every layer matters.

Big shoutout to Andreas StratosFied Concrete for laying it down smooth and making it look easy. The details you don’t see are what make the finished product stand out.

Now it’s time to bring this deck to life with the stamp pattern.

I finally got the chance to visit the manufacturing plant in Alberta and see how these products are made from start to finish.

From production to quality control, it was awesome getting a behind-the-scenes look at the process and meeting the people who make it happen every day.

And then there’s Sherman... Head of Quality Control and this guy is a beauty. Pleasure I got to meet him.

Honoured to be part of the 2nd Annual Honour Roll Veterans Motorcycle Ride today at the Canadian Tank Museum.

We brought out the custom firetruck and flat deck to turn it into a stage for my buddies in LTD, and they absolutely rocked it.

Huge respect to Iron Fist Veteran’s for putting this event together in support of Homes For Heroes Foundation and for everyone who came out to honour our soldiers.

Music, motorcycles, tanks, brotherhood, and respect.
