Canada’s 11 Seasons… hopefully they’re right and third winter is over after this week! Bring on the nice weather and landscaping season!

We don’t want to jinx it, so we haven’t put the snowblower and snow buckets away just yet.

Is throwback Thursday still a thing? I hope so.

With all the nice weather now, we’re looking back at some of our past landscaping projects. This was a therapeutic park we completed for the Town of Lampman in 2022. This project has it all - a paving stone wraparound walkway, sitting area with a pergola, a pond less water fall with bridge overtop, a turf area, multiple benches, all surrounded by lots of cedar mulch, landscape lighting and hundreds of plants (all with drip irrigation).

Project Complete! (And kid approved).

Does everyone remember those large drill stem swing sets at every school playground in the 90’s?
Well, when your wife and boys keep asking for a bigger swing set, you go big or go home. After the last snowfall, we took some drill stem and built a swing set in the shop. At over 12’ tall, and 25’ long, this should last awhile!

As a seasonal business, we are always wondering what to do when there is no snow to move and it’s too early for landscaping season. Time to start another project in the shop while we wait.

2026 winter goal complete!

Every winter, my boys have the goal of using the snow to climb to the top of the Quonset.

We finally received enough snow to try to make this happen. After moving all the snow in Weyburn for our clients, I was able to pile all the snow in the yard for an attempt. After a few tries, they were successful.

Out with the old, in with the new. At least the trailers are looking new with a fresh coat of paint.

When there’s no snow to move due to a very warm February, the crew hangs out in the shop, listens to music and eventually the trailers get a new paint job.

We’ve had a couple of busy months here at JW Landscaping laying patios, building fire pits, building fences, creating pool pads and installing sod. Check out the awesome work the crew has been doing.
