Weyburn Theatre Community Service Cooperative is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to bringing a new experience to the city of Weyburn, Saskatchewan. Our vision is to blend the nostalgia of going to out to the cinemas, with the cinematic experience of a state-of-the-art movie theatre. Our mission is to plan, construct and operate a movie theatre in the City of Weyburn. The Soo Theatre has been the only movie theatre in Weyburn and has been closed for about 5 years. This has made it extremely difficult for families and friends to gather and watch new and exciting movies together. We want to bring back that nostalgic feeling of going out to the movies with your friends and family and experiencing movies on the big screen. The Weyburn Theatre Community Service Cooperative plans on demolishing the old Soo Theatre and building a brand-new state-of-the-art movie theatre on the same property. Construction plans to begin once we have hit our fundraising goals.
