With a dry season up ahead, it's important to transition our landscapes to more water-wise species. Thanks to the City of Kelowna, attaining this goal is even more accessible. Get in touch with me and we will create a low water use garden that is truly magnificent!

Happy Earth Day!
Congratulations to the City of Kelowna Water Utility on offering a Plant Rebate to their customers who make the move to install drought-tolerant plants. It’s a terrific way to celebrate Earth Day today. Or you could wait and spend it all at the OXA Spring Plant Sale on May 11th.
We challenge other water utilities in the arid Okanagan Valley to follow suit with a similar program, to encourage their water users to conserve water by following xeriscape principles on their landscape. Let us know if your municipality or utility is already doing this!
To learn more about Kelowna’s program, go to: https://www.kelowna.ca/.../city-water-utility/water-smart.
Be aware that the program only applies to City of Kelowna water users who are part of the city-owned water utility, not to users in the Black Mountain Irrigation District or Rutland Waterworks utility districts.
And, the plants purchased must be from the Make Water Work plant list, which OXA collaborates with the Okanagan Basin Water Board on. (https://www.makewaterwork.ca/plants)
