Some days just feel like magic… and yesterday was one of them 💛

Chris and I headed out for an incredible hike, soaking in the fresh Okanagan air, chasing views, and finding those beautiful yellow wildflowers The Arrowleaf Balsamroot Flower aka the ‘Okanagan Sunflower’ we wait all year for. There’s something about spring here… the hills come alive, the lake sparkles, and everything just feels a little lighter.

And the best part? We powered the whole hike with nothing more than water and protein gummies 🙌 No heavy snacks, no crash… just steady energy, great vibes, and a whole lot of smiles along the way.

Beautiful views, a happy couple, a solid workout, and honestly… the perfect little trail treat 🍬💪

Watching our 17-year-old head off to his very first roofing job with his dad hit differently. There’s something powerful about seeing him step into the real world, learning what hard work actually feels like, and gaining respect for a trade that demands professionalism, stability, caution, and serious physical strength.

Roofing isn’t easy. It’s long days, tough conditions, and a constant reminder that your safety matters every single second. But it’s also teaching him lessons you just can’t get in a classroom… responsibility, resilience, and pride in doing a job right.

And maybe most importantly, it’s giving him a glimpse into what a lifetime of hard labour looks like. A reminder to stay focused, stay in school, and chase those dreams so he can build a future with choices. Just like his dad has always shown him, hard work builds character… but it also builds perspective. Chris has been in the roofing industry for over 20 years and is the best at what he does. Showing Tyson the right way to do things!

So proud of the man he’s becoming 💛

Beans is heading in for a checkup today because our sweet girl hasn’t been herself lately. She’s been rubbing her face, not eating much, hiding away, and even drooling a little… all signs something isn’t right and possibly a toothache 😢

Our chunky queen weighed in at 22.9 pounds today and stole every heart in the room as usual.

Today’s menu: hedgehogs straight out of the box and honestly… zero regrets. Rich, chocolatey, a little crunchy—basically everything you didn’t know you needed before 9am.
