Dazzling audiences with her impressive multi-octave range and powerhouse vocals, Teagan Littlechief is an inspirational country artist who rocks the stage with her performances.
📻 Singing from a very young age, Teagan’s kindergarten teacher recommended that she take lessons. After being generously gifted lessons for free, she went on to compete in talent shows across southeastern Saskatchewan. In 2001, she won a talent contest with GX94 Radio in Yorkton, before winning a Best Country Singer competition hosted by 620 CKRM Radio in Regina.
🙏 Teagan has overcome many obstacles to be the resilient and courageous artist she is today, including domestic abuse, depression, and addiction. After going to rehab, she is now many years sober, and uses her platform to inspire and empower others facing similar struggles.
🏆 Her sobriety journey has seen her music career blossom, becoming the first Indigenous artist to win the SCMA Female Artist of the Year, winning Contemporary Indigenous Artist of the Year at the 2025 SMAs, and seeing her single ‘Need You To Go’ headed to the Moon in a time capsule as part of the Lunar Codex project.
🏠 One of her latest singles and her first solo written song, ‘Rezzified’, is the latest of hers to reach No. 1 on the Indigenous Music Countdown! The song is about being an Indigenous country artist in Canada, making her career from her home in the Prairies instead of changing who she is for the bright lights of Nashville.
🎟️ Teagan is next performing in Spruce Grove, AB, on September 12th, followed by a performance at the BreakOut West Festival Showcase in Victoria, BC, at the start of October!
📡 Tune into this week’s episode of The Jukebox to hear music from Teagan Littlechief, including her hit song ‘Rezzified’!
