Cooler mornings are your reminder! It’s time to get your HVAC system ready for fall 🍂

Save this end-of-summer checklist for your home:

✅ Check your air filter
A dirty filter restricts airflow. Replace it if needed, using the correct size and type for your system, and follow the manufacturer’s replacement schedule.

✅ Clear around your outdoor unit
Remove fallen leaves, weeds and debris that can block airflow. If you have a heat pump, keep it clear throughout the heating season, too.

✅ Keep vents and return grilles clear
Make sure furniture, rugs and curtains aren’t blocking them. Your system needs clear airflow to circulate air throughout your home.

✅ Review your thermostat schedule
Adjust your settings for cooler weather and any changes to your household’s routine.

✅ Pay attention to changes in performance
Weak airflow, unusual noises or rooms that never reach the set temperature are worth checking before you’re relying on your heating every day.
