Everyone, please take a moment with me and wish a happy 30th birthday. 29 was not a year anyone should have to experience. Ovarian cancer, multiple surgeries, blood transfusions and injections. Thank you for staying strong and making it to 30. Now cancer free, I look forward to continue watching you be the best boy mom anyone could ask for. Mason and I love you, happy birthday - cheers to many more 🥂

The CrossFit open ‘22 - never in a million years if you had asked me back in august 2021, would I of ever told you at 31 years of age would I be competing in my first ever fitness competition. But here we are, 7 months -30lbs later and officially a CrossFit competitor. Putting the stamp on my first open is a feeling I haven’t felt since I hung up my skates from competitive hockey back in 2010. A feeling that I have longed to feel again, a feeling of wanting more.

Thank you to the .col community for pushing me to my limit every day I step into the gym. I can truly say I have gained yet another chosen family and look forward to many more competitions in the future!

Look out ‘23 - I’m coming

For those of you who have never seen one of these before, this is a pager. This pager has been strapped to my hip for the last 1,156 days straight with the ability to sound off 24/7/365.

As a member of the Hamilton Fire volunteers, the sound of this pager tells us an emergency is happening and we are needed.

Today is the last day I wear this pager as it’s been handed in to move onto the next chapter of my life. I begin recruit training with the Mississauga Fire Department as a Career Firefighter.

I am beyond grateful to the Hamilton Fire Department for these last 3+ years and the friends I consider family I have made.

And to my wife, - thank you for your tremendous patience and support over this time. You can sleep peacefully now without any more 2am alarm condition wake up calls 😅
