Thank you to everyone who came out to help celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the South Georgian Bay Building Association.

It was fantastic to see a few of our founding members in attendance, along with members of local councils, two mayors, and even our MP and MPP. The food was fantastic, but the networking and conversations were even better.

We truly appreciate everyone who took the time to join us and support the association.

We look forward to seeing everyone again at our next meeting on June 17th at Rockdell.

We’re excited to share an important update!

The Wasaga and District Builders & Contractors Association has officially rebranded to South Georgian Bay Building Association.

Why the change?
Over the years, our membership, partnerships, and impact have grown well beyond a single community. Our new name better reflects the broader region we proudly serve and our commitment to supporting builders, contractors, trades, and industry partners across all of South Georgian Bay.

This rebrand allows us to:
• Better represent our expanding membership across the region
• Strengthen collaboration within the building industry
• Increase visibility for members throughout South Georgian Bay
• Continue promoting professionalism, education, and advocacy
• Support sustainable growth in our local communities

While our name has changed, our mission remains the same, to connect, support, and advocate for the building industry while helping our communities thrive.

We’re excited for this next chapter and look forward to continuing to work together to build a stronger South Georgian Bay.

The Town of Wasaga Beach is reviewing its Zoning By-law and we want to hear from you!

The Zoning By-law helps determine:

🏡 what uses are allowed in different areas
📍 where buildings can be located
🏗️ how properties can be developed
🌿 how environmentally sensitive lands are protected

This work will help ensure the Town’s zoning rules are clear, up to date, and aligned with the new Official Plan, supporting a well-planned and sustainable future for Wasaga Beach.

💬 Community input is an important part of the process. Residents, businesses, landowners, and stakeholders will have opportunities to learn more and share feedback as the project moves forward.
