April is Construction Month as promoted by , A month were all workers are celebrated for the hard work they do everyday!
Knappett participated in the annual where 120 workers at the project on Esquimalt Rd Project were served delicious hearty meat pies from Because we served up some pies to a hardworking road crew as well!

Many thanks to United Rentals, , , for the extra prizes for the crew as well!

Knappett Projects Inc. celebrates its 40 years in business serving the construction industry. Our crews on 21 job sites from North Island down to Victoria will be celebrating this day simply, with a traditional site lunch pizza! We are looking forward to the next 10 years as we continue to grow and be the best construction company we can be.

It's Construction Month!

We love to treat our hardworking folks on-site to lunch!

As we celebrate construction month it's important for us to remember that these workers are some of the most hard-working men and women around. They are on their way to work well before most of us get out of bed, they work in extreme weather of all types, it's go-go-go all day long, the level of exertion they expel each day is extraordinary, math skills and preciseness applied, not to mention the problem-solving skills utilized have to vary for each situation, application, and location. They say the satisfaction of each completed building is so well worth it, indeed!

These humans are truly extraordinary!! We celebrate you and every team member working out there to build our communities. We hope the Brentwood College School Academic Centre project team enjoyed their lunch from Taco Revolution

Thank you British Columbia Construction Association for initiating this lunch challenge.

BCCA Leadership Awards were presented to the Leaders in our industry last night. Knappett's Superintendent Ryan Thran proudly holds his leadership award for his excellent work with our apprenticeship program while standing with owners, Roger Yager and John Knappett.

Ryan is a long-time superintendent with our company and has managed most of our North Island projects for the last 25 years. His passion for encouraging workers to become an apprentice is inspiring. For the last 7 years, he believes he has now mentored over 40 apprenticeships. He has been working with trades training program coordinators in SD71 and 72 in the Comox Valley and Campbell River area to host site tours, provide onsite work experience and summer work, or hire students ready to work full-time. We are certain that Ryan and his field team have hosted the most Youth in Training students because of his close work with the school board and Skills Canada facilitators up there. Working with these teams has further ensured his apprentices are offered every available resource to move through their program.

Here at Knappett, we can surely say we are proud of the efforts Ryan has made with our apprenticeship program and are proud to have him recognized by other industry members as one who has proved his commitment to making sure our apprentice program is the best in the industry!

We couldn't be more proud of Sherry Bailor, Sherry has been with Knappett for 6 years and is a Safety Representative and all-round go to person on one of our largest sites.
Vancouver Island Construction Association awarded her the Employee of the Year Award. It recognizes an employee who has made a significant contribution and/or positive impact for the company they work for. They have proven to:
Have outstanding performance, superior dedication, and positive attitude on the job
Be a leader in their respective company who has demonstrated a commitment to improving our industry.
Her nominees said the following:
1. Is a major contributor to the success of the project, and in the process has carried herself to a respected leader, the go-to person, and the organizer of the site.
2. an overall problem solver that keeps the site moving forward.
3. Sherry is by far and away the hardest-working safety rep I’ve ever worked with.
4. well deserved for this award, with her “ get it done attitude “
5. very good work ethic in always keeping the site safe for all, and being well prepared for the days work force to arrive every day
