Summary
Southeast winds of 80 to 100 km/h will develop over West Vancouver Island overnight and North Vancouver Island Monday morning. Southeast winds of 60 to 80 km/h will develop early Monday morning over the rest of the above mentioned regions. This is a warning that potentially damaging winds are expected or occurring in these regions. Monitor weather conditions..Listen for updated statements.

Details
A low pressure centre will approach the south coast tonight and rapidly intensify. Ahead of the low, southeasterly winds of 80 to 100 km/h will develop over West Vancouver Island overnight and North Vancouver Island Monday morning. Southeasterly winds up to 80 km/h will spread to East Vancouver Island, Southern Gulf Islands, Greater Victoria and the Sunshine Coast early Monday morning. This system will also give snow to the Whistler area tonight. Snow will continue into Monday before changing to a mixture of snow and rain early in the afternoon. Total snowfall accumulations of 15 to 20 cm can be expected by Monday afternoon. A trough of low pressure over Haida Gwaii will bring snow to the area tonight through Monday morning. Total snowfall accumulations of 15 to 20 cm can be expected by Monday afternoon.
