Some of our favourite projects start as an empty shell full of potential, and the new STRONG Pilates studio in Royal Bay is one of them.

Our team has been on site getting the lighting and electrical work in place, and it’s been exciting to watch the space come together. Warm LED strips now trace the feature walls, and track lighting runs the full length of the room. Even with finishes still to come, you can already feel what this studio is going to be.

That’s what we love about commercial lighting work. In a fitness studio, the light sets the mood for the whole experience, from the moment someone walks in to the last stretch of a class. Getting that right means planning where the power goes, how fixtures are controlled and how light falls on the walls long before anyone flips a switch.

STRONG Pilates Royal Bay hasn’t opened its doors yet, so follow their page for opening updates. We’re proud to help bring another new space to the community.

Your home gives you hints before something goes wrong with the electrical. A breaker that keeps tripping. Lights that flicker when the dishwasher kicks on. A faint buzzing near the panel. A burning smell you can’t quite place.

Most of us shrug these off and reset the breaker. But these are often signs that your electrical panel is overloaded, aging, or no longer keeping up with how you live today.

Our licensed electricians handle everything from a single breaker replacement to a full panel upgrade, right here in Victoria and Greater Victoria. If any of this sounds familiar, let’s have a look before a small annoyance turns into a bigger problem.

There's a moment in the late afternoon when the sun comes through the windows at the Folk townhomes and the whole living room seems to exhale.

That moment is no accident. In a space designed for gathering, where the kitchen island, the sofa, and the dining nook all share one open floor plan, light has to do a lot of jobs. During the day, natural light streams through the large windows and glass door and does most of the work. As the sun drops, the lighting takes over, and it needs to feel like a continuation of that daylight rather than a switch flipping to something artificial.

That's how we approached the electrical and lighting work at Folk, Urban Thrive's car-free family townhouse development in Saanich. Recessed pot lights provide soft, even light across the room. Track lighting gives the kitchen and artwork some focus. A globe pendant over the dining nook adds warmth right where people sit down to eat and talk. Each layer has a purpose, and together they let the room shift from a bright morning space to a cozy evening one without ever feeling off.

A social space works best when nobody notices the lighting at all. They just notice how good it feels to be there.

If you're building or renovating in Victoria or Greater Victoria and want lighting that works with your home's natural light, send us a message and let's talk it through.
