I’ve thoroughly enjoyed this project, mostly because it’s a bit different from my usual style of builds.

From the curved gate and panels to the arched top its been a challenge and a test.

But totally worth it.

I made a bunch of progress on my dining table build the last couple of days.

Today I got around to attaching the base to the top with the threaded inserts which never seem to go my way. Mostly because white oak is so tough it just destroys them.

Anyway it worked out and I managed to get it all sanded and the first coat of oil on too.

I may be eating my Sunday dinner off this table after all. If I can figure out how to get it inside.

The base to my dining table is coming along nicely and I’m very happy how it’s turning out. All the parts are cut and dry assembled, I just have a few little details to add before I glue this sucker up.

What do you all think on the design? It’s simple but effective in my opinion but I want to hear yours.
