Two very different electrical jobs today, both with one thing in common: the importance of doing the job right.
The first two photos show an elegant light fixture featuring 16 hanging LED crystal balls, installed on a 20 foot ceiling. At nearly 60 pounds, this installation required careful planning, proper support, and a strong focus on safety to ensure a precise, professional finish in this customer’s home.
The third photo is a reminder of why electrical safety matters just as much as the finished look. A customer reported smelling something like melting wires a few days earlier, before discovering a sparking kitchen receptacle. Thankfully, they were home, recognized the danger, and knew which breaker to shut off.
I performed an electrical inspection and replaced receptacles equipped with quick connect terminals with new tamper resistant receptacles using secure screw terminal connections.
Whether it’s installing a beautiful statement light or addressing a potential electrical hazard, quality workmanship and safety always come first.
If you’ve noticed a burning smell, buzzing, unusual warmth, or sparking from an outlet, don’t ignore it. Turn off the circuit if it is safe to do so and have it inspected by a qualified electrician.
