Cooler mornings mean commercial heating systems are starting to work more often.

Making sure the equipment is operating properly now can help keep the building comfortable as temperatures continue to fall.

Brown Mechanical helps commercial properties across Kelowna, Vernon, and Salmon Arm stay season ready.

Weak airflow can come from several places.

Dirty filters, blocked or restricted airflow paths, fan problems, or issues elsewhere in the HVAC system can all reduce the amount of conditioned air reaching parts of a commercial building.

That’s why finding the cause matters more than simply adjusting the thermostat. If weak airflow is becoming noticeable across your property, Brown Mechanical can help get to the root of it.

🌿 18 Years of Community Stewardship

Members of the Rotary Club of Silver Star recently returned to BX Creek for their annual cleanup, continuing a Vernon tradition that began in 2008. This year, volunteers removed two truckloads of refuse and another load of scrap metal from Reach 8 of the creek.

It’s a great example of how consistent local effort can make a lasting difference in the community.

Stay connected with Brown Mechanical for more local stories from the communities we serve.

This one is a MYTH.

HVAC filters don't just affect indoor air quality. When filters become excessively dirty or restrictive, reduced airflow can affect system performance and make fans work harder to move air through the building.

For commercial and multi-unit properties, filter selection and replacement schedules should be based on the equipment, building conditions, occupancy, and operating demands, not simply a fixed calendar.

After decades of working with HVAC systems, we know simple maintenance items can have an impact well beyond the filter itself.

If you manage a commercial property, filter condition is one small detail worth keeping on the maintenance checklist.
