Hello friends and followers of PRT Vernon. Piece Rate Seedling Thinning Program is about to commence. The job is removing and transplanting extra seedlings from the sown blocks. Piece rate will apply once productivity is reached. Get paid for how much you do, not just the time you are here! Check out the jobs section of this page to apply. Lift program commenced October 19, single shift and ramping up to double shift October 26.

We are harvesting Forestry Seedlings grown at our facility. The work consist of 2 shifts; AM starting at 6:45 – 2:45, and PM shift fro 3:15 to 11:15. Note that the PM shift has an hourly shift differential increase of $.75.

At this time, sorters for the PM shift have been filled although we are still needing a few people to work the field and loading the lines.

All positions will be paid at piece rate, starting at min wage until skills are learned, usually within the first few days. Piece rate is based on what you and your team are able to produce. The potential to exceed the $25 mark listed above is real.

Due to Covid19, please do not come on site if you are experiencing any respiratory symptoms. We have protocol in place to keep everyone safe. If working indoors, you will be required to wear a mask, preferably one that you will bring in and take with you to clean daily. We will have some masks available on site but a well fitted and comfortable mask that you are familiar with is best practices.

A big thanks to everyone in both AM and PM shifts – our Fall 2019 Lift is off to a great start. We have both Auto and Manual sorters working to harvest our crops. The field workers are keeping them all going.
We are almost at capacity, again thanks to all for showing up. If you are still interested, please contact us, we will let you know where we may need your help.
