Brand new house, brand new Hardie plank! 😎

Hardie plank siding is a go-to finish here in the Okanagan for its fire resistance and look-alike traits to real wood with less maintenance.

On this project the crew gave it a nice coat of paint after filling all the install nail holes, to give it that smooth and protected final coat.

If you're thinking of giving your exterior a refresh, give us a call to get on our waitlist for next spring! ✨

There's something really special about restaining a wood home. 🤎

Log and wood exteriors have so much character - but they do need a little extra love to stay protected through Okanagan summers and winters. When the prep is done right and the right product goes on, the results speak for themselves.

If you've got a wood or log exterior you've been putting off - this is your sign! 😎

Products: Sikkens Cetol 1 (first coat) + Sikkens Cetol 2-3 (two coats) and sanded with our new festool sanders 🙌

Pergola staining and interior painting at one of our favourite spots this summer - right on Kal Lake. 😎

We used a custom Sansin SDF colour on the pergola for a finish that’s as durable as it is beautiful. The grain of the wood coming through on a dark stain like this is hard to beat.

Drop us a DM if you’ve got a stain project on your radar for next season! 👊

Friday roundup time! Swipe through to see what our crews have been up to recently 😎

Stucco, Hardie, trim, beam stain work - we’ve been keeping busy out there and loving every project.

Hope everyone in the North Okanagan has an amazing long weekend ahead! 🙌

Our crews have been working hard on exteriors all summer, but we had to stop and share this one! 😎

This stucco home in Armstrong went from a faded beige to a bold navy - and honestly what a difference!

When done right, this kind of colour change can completely transform the street presence of a home.

Got an exterior that could use some love before the season wraps up? Send us a DM, we’d love to help! 👋🏻

Say hey to Jarret - our newest member of the Third Generation crew! 😎

Before joining the team, Jarret spent years painting movie and TV sets. If you see him on the jobsite, ask him about it - he’s got some seriously cool behind-the-scenes stories from builds you might actually recognize!

Jarret brings a ton of experience to every project and if he’s painting your home, you’re in great hands. So stoked to have him on the team - give him a wave if you see him out with the crews this summer! 👊

Exterior season is in full swing and our crews are officially outside! ☀️

Whether your home is stucco, Hardie or wood - we work on all of them, and we know how much the Okanagan climate can impact your paint job over time.

A proper exterior repaint isn’t just about the look - it’s about protecting your home before small issues become expensive ones.

Got an exterior that needs some attention this season? Drop us a DM, we’d love to help! 😎

Did you know, painting has been in our family since 1977? 😎

Brook’s grandfather started Nullmeyer Painting & Decorating. His dad carried on the trade with his own business. And now Brook runs Third Generation Painters here in Vernon, BC.

When expertise gets passed down through three generations, certain standards just become part of how you operate. How you show up to a jobsite. How you keep things clean and communicate with homeowners so there are never any surprises. How you wrap up a project and leave someone’s home better than you found it.

If you’re looking for a crew that treats your home that way, we’d love to hear from you - drop a comment or send us a DM. 👊

New kitchen cabinets loading… 👀

This kitchen is currently in the middle of a cabinet refinishing project, and today the doors are getting sprayed in our downtown Vernon cabinet shop.

It’s always fun seeing the transformation start to happen - especially when a dark wood finish starts turning into a bright new colour.

These will be installed back in the kitchen next week, so stay tuned for the final reveal! 😎

Thinking about getting your kitchen cabinets refinished but not totally sure what the process looks like? 👀

In this video, Brook walks through exactly how we approach our cabinet refinishing projects.

Here’s what’s involved:

👉 Cabinet doors are removed and brought back to our dedicated cabinet shop here in Vernon

👉 They’re cleaned, degreased and scuff sanded, then primed and sprayed with two coats of cabinet-grade paint for that smooth, factory-style finish

👉 Back in your home, we set up a contained spray area, carefully mask everything off, and spray the boxes and frames - with ventilation out a window to help reduce fumes

No brushes. No rollers. Just a proper sprayed finish 😎

If you’re looking to update your kitchen but keep your existing layout, refinishing can be a really practical option.

As always, if you have questions about cabinet refinishing in Vernon, drop them below or send us a message!
