Cooler weather is on the way, and that means it’s a smart time to look at tree pruning before winter hits.

Pruning in the fall lets us clear out deadwood, shape up tree structure, and keep branches from getting too close to buildings or walkways. This helps trees stay healthy through the colder months and cuts down on safety risks from falling limbs or blocked paths.

If you’ve been putting off a trim, now’s the time to book. Let’s get your trees ready for winter together.

Late Friday evening my services were requested to retrieve an Owl that was hung up in a tree, unfortunately the owl had already passed away, but the bird needed to be retrieved from approximately 40 feet up a Spruce tree in order for an autopsy to be completed. After making quick work of the retrieval, I was given the opportunity to handle a live Great Grey Owl. Thanks to Strathcona Raptor Shelter for caring for these magnificent creatures! As always, our wildlife and cat rescue services are free, and will remain free as a service to the community.
