Not to a new hire. Not on a job site. Not in 30 years.

Because the moment you call yourself the boss, you've already told your team what you think of them.

You're above them.
They report to you.
Their job is to execute your decisions and stay out of the way.

I've seen what that builds:
Crews that do the minimum.
People who clock out the second the day ends.
Projects that survive instead of excel.

That's not Platinum.

Here's how I see it:

I'm a colleague who has been doing this longer.
That's it.

I bring knowledge to the table. You bring skill, precision, and the kind of work ethic that no job posting can screen for. We need both to build something worth putting our name on.

People often ask me how I got into construction.

The truth is... it started long before Platinum Construction.

When I was 14 years old, my brother and I started an asphalt maintenance business. While most kids were enjoying their summers, we were learning how to earn trust, and figuring out what it meant to build something from the ground up.

I always had a passion for building, not just buildings, but businesses, relationships, and opportunities.

Years later, I met my business partner, Gianni.

We shared the same vision: if we were going to do this, we weren't going to be average.

I remember saying to him: "We've got to be better than gold."
That's where the name Platinum Construction came from.

Because platinum represents something that's earned, not given.
It stands for quality, resilience, and lasting value.

Today, decades later, that philosophy still guides every project we take on.

It's never been about being the biggest contractor.

It's about building something we're proud to put our name on (and building relationships that last long after the project is complete).

Sometimes people think success comes from one big moment.

In reality, it starts with a kid who wasn't afraid to work, a shared vision between two partners, and a commitment to never settle for "good enough."

We're excited to kick off construction on a new Chipotle location at CF Chinook Centre in Calgary.

People often see the finished restaurant. They don't see the coordination behind it (the early mornings, the planning, the problem-solving, and the dozens of skilled trades working together to make it happen).

At Platinum Construction Corporation / Platinum Construction of America Inc., we operate like a Wolfpack, because every successful project depends on trust, communication, and having each other's backs.

No one builds a great restaurant alone.

Sicily going to Canada 🇨🇦

Some journeys are about business. Others are about coming home.

A few weeks ago I traveled to Italy to reconnect with the place where my family’s story began (the same roots my father left behind when he immigrated to Canada in search of a better future).

This trip is more than a visit; it’s a reminder of the sacrifices, values, and determination that built the foundation for everything that followed...
