Removing the mold isn’t the finish line. This is. 👇

After removal and cleaning, our technician fogs the whole contained area with an antimicrobial treatment. The fine mist gets into the gaps, cavities and corners that hands and sprayers can’t reach.

No, it’s not a haunted forest. Those “branches” are mycelium, the root network of mushrooms, growing behind the vapour barrier across an ENTIRE finished basement.

The drywall looked totally normal from the room side.

Mushrooms only grow where there’s a lot of moisture, so if you ever see one indoors, there’s a bigger problem hiding behind it.

Small spot. Same standard.

This closet corner looked like a quick wipe-and-paint job. But mold on the surface almost always means moisture behind the wall, and painting over it just hides it until it comes back.

Closets on outside walls stay cool and get little air flow, which makes them a favourite spot for mold. Leave the door open now and then, and don't pack them against the wall.

Those old floor tiles in your basement? They might be hiding asbestos.

Vinyl floor tiles from before the 1990s often contained asbestos, especially in older Toronto homes. Intact, they're low risk. The danger starts when you crack, scrape or sand them during a renovation.

Here's how we handled this basement:
✔ Sealed the room with full containment and a zip door entry
✔ Ran a negative air machine with HEPA filtration, venting outside
✔ Removed and bagged every tile following Ontario Regulation 278/05

Attic mold removal, start to finish.

This attic had heavy growth across the roof sheathing, and the only access was a hatch inside a bedroom closet.

Before any work started, we built containment around the closet with a zip door and ran a negative air machine, so air flowed out through a HEPA filter instead of into the bedroom. The home stays protected while the work happens overhead.

The result: clean sheathing, treated with antimicrobial, and a living space that never got touched.

Before and after, bathroom damaged by a long-term leak from above

Leak from above that went a long time without being dealt with. The homeowner is elderly and it got to be too much for them. Damaged drywall is out, the framing is cleaned and treated, and it's ready for rebuild.

If you have aging parents or neighbours, a quick look for ceiling stains or musty smells next time you visit can save a lot of damage.

Before and after: attic mold around a plumbing vent stack.

The dark growth was concentrated around the pipe and the roof vent. That pattern is common. Warm, humid air leaks up from the house through gaps around penetrations, hits cold sheathing and condenses.
We removed the growth, cleaned the sheathing and applied antimicrobial to the wood. The wood stays in place, with no need to tear out sound framing.

Asbestos pipe wrap, handled the right way.

Each glove bag seals directly around the pipe. Our techs work through the built-in gloves, wet the insulation, remove it and seal it inside the bag. The fibres never touch open air. Floors and walls are also covered in poly as a second layer of protection.
