Tikwalus Park is now open! This site along the Trans-Canada Highway shares stories of place, culture, and traditional fishing practices tied to the Fraser River.

Visitors are invited to pause, learn, and connect. Interpretive signage within the pavilion invites visitors to learn about Spuzzum’s living history, deep connection to place, and traditional fishing practices.

Connect is celebrating two years of the opening at Rainbow Park in Whistler!

Two years since opening, Rainbow Park has grown into a vibrant waterfront destination shaped by everyday use. The design focused on creating an inclusive, accessible park that balances recreation, gathering, and connection to the River of Golden Dreams—while restoring habitat and supporting long term resilience. It’s been rewarding to see how the space continues to evolve through the seasons.

Earlier this month, our team revisited the Vancouver International Airport ‘Mythical Island’ in the International Terminal to reflect on the journey from initial idea to final completion.

This iconic project brings coastal British Columbia indoors, transforming the International Wing at YVR with a symbolic mythical island, fluctuating tide pools, and a boardwalk connecting to a misty courtyard of rocky coastline, coniferous trees, and native plantings. The carefully crafted experience creates a transformative journey to our region’s natural character, and allowing passengers to connect with nature.

Completed in 2021, this design project continues to remind us of the value of creativity, collaboration, and the beauty of the natural environment - a source of inspiration for all who pass through.
