As architects, understanding the full potential of glass can take your projects to the next level—both in functionality and aesthetics. Our Lunch and Learn sessions offer a unique opportunity to deepen your knowledge of glass, explore its capabilities, and discover how the right specifications can bring your design concepts to life.
Recently, we had the privilege of hosting a session at Acton Ostry Architects led by our Senior Architectural Design Manager and Business Development expert, Otto Ward. The team at Acton Ostry was incredibly engaged, asking thoughtful questions that sparked valuable discussions. It was a great reminder of how powerful these sessions can be for aligning your team with the latest glass insights!
With topics like Glass 101, Glass 102, and Quality Standards, our Lunch and Learns provides practical, actionable knowledge that you can apply directly to your projects—helping you create not only more feasible designs but also ones that are visually striking. And, of course, we always dedicate time for Q&A, where you can get expert advice tailored to your unique challenges.
Don’t miss out on an opportunity to enhance your team’s expertise and bring your designs to new heights. Reach out to schedule your personalized Lunch and Learn session at [email protected]

“The project reinterprets, celebrates and reflects various aspects of the Mount Pleasant context, street life, materiality and colour through a bricolage of jumbled effects inspired by the diverse range of buildings from different periods and styles that are located throughout the neighbourhood.” - Acton Ostry Architects Inc

We couldn’t agree more. The Independent stands as a representation of past and future. Designed into five distinct forms, each with a separate character, the building celebrates the mood and spirit of the surrounding neighbourhood and pays homage to those who made it what it is today.
