𝗦𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗴𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗮 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗶𝘀.

Last week, Stack Modular leaders from Canada, the United States, Spain, the United Kingdom, Belgium and China came together in Shanghai, not through screens or across time zones, but in the same room.

For our team in Shanghai, it was a privilege to host colleagues from across the business and give them a closer look at the people and operations that support Stack projects around the world.

There were meetings, facility visits and plenty of conversations, but some of the best moments happened in between, sharing meals, exchanging perspectives and simply having the opportunity to spend time together as one team.

We build across borders, and weeks like this strengthen the relationships behind that work.

👏 A great few days in Melbourne for .

Thank you to PrefabAUS for bringing together such a strong group of people from across Australia’s modular and offsite construction industry.

For Stack Modular, the event was a chance to reconnect with familiar faces, meet new people and continue conversations around the growth of MMC in Australia.

While Stack is not an Australian company, we continue to feel very welcome in the market and value the opportunity to contribute our experience to an industry that is clearly building momentum.

For 𝗔𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗺𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱-𝘁𝗼-𝗥𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀, modular can change when capital is required during the project.

Because steel and materials are procured earlier, getting funders comfortable with an earlier capital drawdown can be a hurdle compared with a traditional build.

1️⃣ Does the building have the repeatability and scale to suit modular?

2️⃣ What project constraint are we trying to improve - programme, site labour, cost exposure or delivery risk?

3️⃣ What needs to be resolved early across design, structure, services and approvals?

4️⃣ Can manufacturing, logistics and site installation work as one coordinated programme?

5️⃣ Does modular improve the 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 - holding costs, interest exposure, programme risk and time-to-revenue?

These questions are much easier to work through while the project still has room to change.
