Sustainability and environmental product declarations (EPDs) are taking center stage in modern construction, yet a practical gap remains. Many professionals still face uncertainty about what lower-carbon concrete actually is, how it is manufactured, and how to effectively specify it on real-world projects.

To bridge this gap, Concrete BC, the Cement Association of Canada (CAC), and ACIBC are co-hosting Concrete Carbon Conversations on 𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟯 at the Italian Cultural Centre in Vancouver.

This dynamic, interactive adult-learning session is purpose-built to equip architects, engineers, and specifiers with the foundational tools needed to make informed decisions across design, production, and construction phases.
Participants will gain actionable insights to:

✅Understand the definitions of GHGs, embodied carbon, and EPDs (Environmental Product Declarations). Find, interpret, and utilize concrete EPDs.
✅Recognize the key reduction levers available today for concrete and how to specify them in projects.
✅Develop a carbon budget with reductions for concrete on projects.
